OUR OFFICERS

Slobodanka Mitchell

President

I am a senior accounting student planning on graduating in Fall ’21. Besides being a full-time student I am also a full-time mother to a high school freshman. I enjoy studying accounting, working out six to seven days a week, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends. Being a president of IMA at SJSU gives me an opportunity to bridge a gap between our members and professionals. That being said, we have an array of professional events this Spring semester and we would love to help you succeed in your passage.

VP of Treasury

I am a fourth-year accounting student here at SJSU, and have realized the path I want to take in the business world. I aspire to work in accounting and finance in an industry that I have passion for; sports. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, exploring new places, and, of course, playing sports, soccer in particular. Being treasurer of IMA is a big step for me and an opportunity to learn. I plan on using my connections to bring members and fellow officers the best chances for success.

Andriichuk

VP of Operations

I am a senior accounting student with a minor in economics and will be graduating in Fall ‘21. I grew up in Ukraine as a single child which helped me to become self-reliant. Growing up in the countryside fueled my passion for healthy living and respect for hard work. During my free time, I like to cook and play tennis. I speak 4 languages and enjoy learning about other cultures. I also love meeting new people and helping students. As an IMA officer, I will ensure that our members get the most out of our club by keeping our chapter website up-to-date and notifying all students about future events.

VP of External Affairs

I am a senior accounting student at San Jose State. I have been interested in working in the field of business ever since I started working for my dad’s company. After taking some business classes I discovered that accounting is the best career path for me. As the VP of External Affairs, I make sure to contact firms and help them set up a time and date for when they would like to present for our club. I also take suggestions from members about who they would like to have present in our meetings. I hope you enjoy the speakers that will be presenting this Spring semester.

VP of Events

I am a senior accounting student planning to graduate in 2021. Before transferring to SJSU, I lived in Vietnam and spent my first two years at a community college in Southern California. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends during my free time. I sometimes come back to Southern California to visit my family and eat. As a VP of Events, I will create social events and bonding time for our members.

VP of Marketing

I am a senior accounting student in my second semester here at SJSU. Prior to this, I spent two years as a computer engineering student at UC Davis. And long before that, I began my academic journey at Diablo Valley College, where I attained five associate degrees in accounting, business administration, economics, computer science, and psychology. In my free time, I enjoy building software and working on open source projects. I joined IMA because I felt a sense of comradery that I didn’t find in other clubs. In addition to making new friends, IMA provided me the opportunity to network with professionals and secure an internship. If you are interested in furthering your career, you are in the right place!

VP of Membership

I am currently a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Accounting and Finance and a Minor in Computer Science. I love to travel, enjoy adventurous activities and to spend time with my family. Being a part of IMA has allowed me to build on my networking skills, interact with firms and industry professionals, and has inspired me on which career path to take. As VP of membership, I will ensure that our members have successful experience with IMA.
